Topic: Let's Talk Baby Wearing!

Come learn about the benefits of baby wearing, learn how to tie wrap carriers, ring slings, and how to wear and adjust other carriers, with a baby in tow! Try out some carriers before you invest, bring yours for others to check out. Also feel free to bring your carrier(s) to swap or sell! Event is by donation. The venue is Fusion East Taproom who has graciously offered to host our event - they have coffee, tea, loads of adult beverages, as well as non-alcoholic beers and mocktails. You can bring your own food, or grab some snacks there. This event will be held during the taproom's closed hours (yay!) So don't worry about if your baby is fussy, or if you look like a hot mess! lol. Come expand your circle, make some new mom and parent friends. Dads and non-binary parents are also very welcome to come - they gotta baby wear too! Hope to see you there. Feel free to bring a friend, parent or other support person(s). 😃

Topic: Booze and Cannabis While Breast(Chest)feeding

Breastfeeding doesn't mean you can't drink, or enjoy the occasional puff if that's your thing! Don't believe me? I'll be sure to bring reference material and share what the evidence says - good and bad - about breastfeeding while indulging in alcohol and cannabis. I'll share resources for quitting, if that's your choice, as well as resources for reducing risk - because let's face it, there's usually some risk in any choice we make. Come chat in a non-judgmental environment with an accredited lactation counsellor and other new parents!

Come learn about this and a whole lot more. Bring your babe, let them sample some tried-and-true recipes from the Baby Led Weaning cookbook. Share your experiences with introducing solids to your babe(s), and learn from others!
